During the ongoing flood emergency response phase, the federal and provincial authorities have virtually lost track of region-wise statistics pertaining to the affected and displaced population.According to official data provided by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the number of displaced people as of August 7, was 861,012, whereas the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs suggests that over 1.5 million people in KP have been rendered homeless. On the other hand, the PDMA data terms over 600,000 people as “inaccessible”, which does not clarify their exact status in terms of being homeless or affected. For Punjab, the information released by UN from New York and Geneva estimates that at least 1.6 million people have been affected, 84,000 homes have been destroyed that left up to 500,000 people homeless. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz spokesman Ahsan Iqbal said that over 2 million people in Punjab had been displaced, while 500,000 houses have been washed away. “The federal govt has not been providing us relief items.

History of Pakistani Land
Pakistan traces its history back to 2,500 years B.C., when a highly developed civilization flourished in the Indus Valley. Excavations at Harrappa, Moenjodaro, Kot Diji and Mehr Garh have brought to light, the evidence of an advanced civilization existing even in more ancient times. Around 1,500 B.C., the Aryans overwhelmed this region and influenced the Hindu civilization, whose centre moved to Ganges valley, further east.
